 Mark Stein: Chef/Owner
Mark has spent his entire career as an entreprenuer with consumer products companies. The various positions he has held have had him based in Washington, D.C. (where he grew up), New York City (where he married) and Boston, which has been his home since 1991.
For as long as he can remember, he has had a passion for food. His commitment to learning more about food has included paying for brief stints in kitchens that have included world-class restaurants such as Le Bernardin and Jean Georges in New York City, and L'Espalier in Boston. When his businesses were sold some years ago, he decided to obtain formalized culinary training and graduated with honors from the Professional Chef Program at the Cambridge School of Culinary Arts.
He is a member in good standing with the International Association of Culinary Professionals, the American Culinary Federation and the Chefs Collaborative. He is an active supporter of Share Our Strength (dedicated to reducing hunger) and Waltham Fields Community Farm (a local community supported farm).
In addition, Mark serves as Chairman of the Board of Samaritans of Greater Boston and President of DoGreatStuff.com (a website committed to raising money for non-profit organizations).
When not involved in daily activities at Citrio, Mark provides consulting services to a wide variety of consumer product companies and banks who lend to them.
Mark lives in Newton with his wife and three children.
